Blog Posting

Although I frequently have the tendency to spill out my thoughts to someone and ideas for posts pop up in my head very often, this tendency always finds me when I'm away from my PC or my laptop. Sadly, a lot of good ideas that would've made excellent blog posts went to waste due to my inability to retain them long enough.
I would like to talk however (thanks to my cousin's blog) about a recent documentary I have seen. It's called "Our World: China's Green Revolution" and I seriously recommend watching it. The Chinese people never cease to amaze me while the recent leadership in the People's Party does the same thing. I don't know when the documentary was shot but the facts presented in it (political decisions made by China's government) still remain valid today, not only valid but dare I say example for other world powers.
The main thing I would like to talk briefly about is the decision to turn towards renewable energy in China's energy plan...this would mean 5 years of conscious green effort for a better future. You would say at this moment "Pfah, we heard this before, jibber jabber about renewable energy" and you would be correct, seeing as everybody's talking about it but nobody's doing anything towards implementing the plans necessary to tap into it. The main reason for this is our diseased (in my opinion) world economy. Economically, it's not profitable to switch in mass to green energy, you can't sell it as well. Well people of this planet, China's doing it, be it from carefully considered economical benefits accorded for implementation or be it from their commu-cratic government or their state-alistic economy.
Now (when the documentary was shot), China implements one new wind turbine each hour and that gives it a total of 8760 new wind turbines each year. All this, coupled with the advantageous benefits given to the private sector if they turn green, is a thing that China should be commended for!
I would really hope a lot more global powers turn their attention outwards, globally, and try to work together for the betterment of mankind!
