Haven't posted in quite some time now. Deh, laziness is a way of life, I like it but I don't like the results that come with it. I kept telling myself "now, I have to post now, have to keep it coming to you guys", sort of like a man begging his gf or his wife for sex: "now baby? now? now, now, huh, huh?". Well the questions passed and the answer is coming through this post.
Started this one without anything in particular to talk about and I can go on and on like this (just like in my exams lol). Well, I have to talk about something so I'll do a lil' ranting about globalization, a subject that interests me more and more (yeah, I'm one of those "pope John Paul the 2nd" types of bastard).
It happened over night (actually not over night, I sleep at night...thanks for the pun G.Carlin), and suddenly I keep thinking about humanity's future, about our meaning as a species and about what's actually going on in the world right now. Take yourself out of body for a second and look at the planet as a whole, forget you're basque, spanish, taliban, american, drug dealer, priest (actually these two go hand in hand on the bad scale), kid dying of hunger or fat rich fuck, and try to look on the grand scale. What are you doing here on this lil' chunk o' paradise we call Earth? Aren't we supposed to get together as a species and colonize the fuck out of other planets? Aren't we supposed to work together for a better future? We are, aren't we. Well, I'm done with my wishful thinking about coming together to form a whole and really think that the only solution would be a big war, a big energy crisis, a big plague or something to make us think like that.
Until now, I was very nationalist, still am a bit, wanting the best for my country while the rest of the people in it wipe their ass of with it. But hell fuck shit pussy, how can you not think about the future?! I mean, look at the mess we've gotten ourselves into with our money talks (money talks, la la la)... The middle and rich class average age keeps going up (low, 0 or negative birth ratios), we're running out of fossil fuels and the prices keep going up on everything. Actually, the prices will keep going up until the resources are depleted and we all fight the fuck out of one another for a milliliter of oil or a gram of gold.
*Slap slap* Let's try not to be pessimistic (yeah, I keep writing to myself, seriously gotta have a check-up hi hi), the basic idea remains: get together, advance as a species, advance to the point of intergalactic travel, to the point where we can look for resources elsewhere (the universe is really infinite => resources are infinite), because hell, at the rate we're going right now, we'll die out before I hit the age of biting the dust!
I'll end in a question: Do you want our species to be nothing different than the dinosaurs?
